Dave "Coker" Hurst (Lebo cager #12 in the '62-'63 team photo) transferred from Connellsville High just before our junior year. He had terrific basketball skills and became a starter on the varsity his senior year. He was soft-spoken & humble and was a great team player. Many times I queried the internet to locate and reconnect with him, without success. It's very sad that all I could ever find was the announcement of his passing in February this year. Have a beautiful birthday week
I am terribly saddened to learn of Dennis's recent passing and of the illnesses he has been fighting in recent years. My condolences go out to Deanna and their daughters.
Back in 7th grade I was lucky to be assigned, along with "The Maf," to Francis Lyman's homeroom. Every day Maf would give Mr. Lyman a bit of a hard time, always keeping his behavior just this side of requiring discipline. All his friends called him "Maf," and Mr. Lyman seemed to be the only one who called him Dennis. Maf was the personification of "cool" and he loved the role. He liked to give the appearance of the untouchable tough guy, but underneath there was a truly good person. He had a broad collection of admirers, including a few nerds that he had taken the time to befriend (myself included). Throughout junior high and high school, Maf maintained the aura of the coolest guy in our class, and he also continued to be both mischievous and kind. Ever since TV's "Happy Days" began in 1974, I have always considered "The Maf" to have been the original blueprint for "The Fonz." I will always have fond memories of Maf.
Happy Birthday! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Have a wonderful birthday week. April Fools is a hard birthday. My moms and grandmas. You are in good company
We have lost a gentle strong-man. Never a harsh word toward, or about, anyone. Rest in peace, Rudy.

I was very sad to learn of Tom's passing. He was one of the nicest classmates in the Lebo Class of '64. I have fond memories of riding with him to Granville, Ohio, during our junior year on a weekend college visit to Denison University where we stayed at the fraternity House of Corinne Oelschlager's brother Jim. It was a great weekend and a memorable trip with a terrific classmate.
Happy birthday, Patsy. I'm sure you are STILL smart, beautiful, and kind to everyone.
Happy Birthday, Doug!

Response to Bob Hubbard's comment about scanning a photo of Bruce's Washington Cubs little league team. Bob said he would "try to figure out how to scan and send it."
Bob, here's one of the best ways to do it. PhotoScan is a fabulous app. It does a terrific job of digitizing old photos. I've used it scores of times with good results. Here's the URL for the app: >> https://www.google.com/photos/scan/ <<
Also, the names of the attendees at Steve Doege's 10th birthday party (one of the new photos Christy Mager uploaded):
Reed Brown (Steve's neighbor), Bruce Mager, Herb Samrick, Dan Wilson, Joel Forrester, Bobby Hubbard, Steve Doege.
Over the years I have thought of Bruce often. He was one of the very nicest friends I had in elementary school. His death was a terrible shock to all of his classmates. I was totally delighted to see that he has been included in our Class of '64 website. Many thanks to his sister Christy.

It's nice to know that at least one of us April Fools was able to become a State Champion. Please give my regards to Drew. (Does he still wrestle at the "120 Pound Weight Class?")
Happy Birthday, Michele.
